This is a brass wire reinforced asbestos packing. The addition of brass enhances the mechanical resistance and durability of the packing against abrasive media. The brass also improves the strength and anti-friction
properties of the packing.

For high pressure conditions & temperatures against abrasive and viscous liquids which do not have an adverse effect on brass metal. It is recommended for saturated and super-heated steam, hot water, air, gases, oils, steam
expansion glands, rotary and reciprocating equipment. Especially suited to high speed rotary and reciprocating shafts even at higher temperature and pressure.
